An Exciting New Performance Assessment Tool

The Construction Performance Driver has been developed for the use by all organizations operating within the construction industry - large or small, public or private - and who have a desire to improve their current business performance. This approach to performance improvement is designed to help you begin looking systematically at your business, and to highlight key areas for improvement . Once completed, it will show you where your strengths are, so that you can build on the good practice that already exists and it will give you a clear indication of those improvement opportunities that are appropriate to action in your business.

This tool, derived from the principle that business performance is fundamentally driven by five key enablers of change, namely leadership, policy and strategy, people, partnerships and resources and processes, will help businesses large or small, public or private, to improve upon current practices.

This first section of the 42 page publication looks at the way your business does things and what it is achieving, and should be completed by the key decision-makers in your business. Subsequent sections provide an optional employee questionnaires to be completed by your workforce in order to obtain further feedback and to test or validate the views of the senior management. A further section provides guidance on the support available from the Construction Best Practice Programme (to be a hotlink to CBPP site - www.cbpp.org.uk) to help you develop and implement an action plan to address the improvement areas highlighted by the Driver.
